Meet: at the Greswolde Hotel car park for 10:00 start. The car park is run by Parkopedia and it is £1 for 2 hours and £2 for 3 hours.

Distance: 9.88km / 6 miles.

Description: Set off down Kixley Lane to the canal tow path and head in the direction of Copt Heath Wharf/Catherine De Barnes.

Leave the tow path after 2 or 3 bridges and head up a field toward Henwood Hall Farm.

After a couple more fields walk across Knowle Road into another field. Come out on Hob Lane, Barston then take footpath which brings you out on Hampton Road.

Enter the canal towpath again and a short walk back to the Greswolde car park. 4 styles and 2 concrete foot bridges.

After a spell of dry weather all of the walking was dry. There is a short distance down a muddy track that takes us back to Hampton Road that was very rutted and nobbly to walk on so need good boots to avoid twisting ankle. This track may be muddy if we get a lot of rain between now and Saturday.

Lunch: People can stay for lunch/drink afterwards if they want.
