Meet: 9 45am for 10am start at the Wilson’s Arms (Toby Carvery) Car Park, Warwick Road, Knowle, B93 9AH. Remember to record your car registration on the machine just inside the main doors of the Wilsons Arms from the car park.

Distance: 5.7 miles

Terrain: Along the canal tow path at the start, then gently uphill to Henwood Hall Farm, through the grounds of the former Eastcote Hospital, then to the bank of the Blythe for a short distance before returning to Knowle via a mixture of quite lanes and paths  The surface, when I pre-walked today was generally hard, but there were a two or three surface puddles on the stretch beside the Blythe. Waterproof footwear is recommended.

Excellent Autumn colours are to be found at various points on the walk.

There are 4 stiles, none very difficult, and one bridge with low rails either end.

Lunch:      A table will be reserved in the Carvery afterwards for those wanting to stay for lunch.
