Chadwick End Walk

A common frog hiding in the grass

We walked from Chadwick End on lanes to Chapel Lane then behind the road through to the Grand Union Canal.

We looped back through Chadwick End after 5 miles allowing the more enthusiastic to continue their 8.5 mile walk.

A local walk, but Adrian managed to find some unfamiliar pathways and linked some more familiar ones in a different way.

We found a frog.

which we avoided treading on.

We passed near Baddesley Clinton but resisted tea and cake.

and there are always details that grab our attention, whether it is a sheep, beehives or a dead tree.

The hardy remaining group then made the mistake of discussing how lucky we had been with the rain, which jinxed it, but overcame that by donning rain trousers which we knew guaranteed the rain to stop so we returned home dry.
